Writing a Powerful LinkedIn Summary

A LinkedIn membership, free or premium, is a must have for today's job seeker because head hunters are flocking to LinkedIn to recruit candidates for open positions. A significant part of the LinkedIn profile is the summary section. To get the most out of your summary don't reiterate information that is on your resume, but look for a different angle to flesh out the same background in two paragraphs. This part will take time if you aren't a wordsmith so don't be surprised or get discouraged if it takes you a couple of days to come up with compelling verbiage.

Once you have written the introductory paragraphs, choose three successes from the last ten to fifteen years of your career to showcase. Finally to round out the summary, include a closing paragraph. Let's take a look at a sample summary Linkedin you can use as a model.

By Joseph Jacob

We adhere to etiquettes during our daily life routines because there are etiquettes for everything we do. Etiquettes are also available for job interviews. They help both applicants and hiring managers to obtain better outcomes. It also allows both parties to carry out an excellent interviewing background. We cannot exactly determine a certain set of interview etiquettes. But there are etiquettes that can be clearly described. Studying these etiquettes will help job seekers to deal successfully with interviews. Then, they can quickly win the hearts of hiring managers and qualify for the job.

There are different etiquettes for different interview stages. Some should be followed prior to the interview; some should be followed throughout the interview; and some should be followed after the interview. Learn them and be a successful job seeker.

Etiquettes which should be followed prior to the interview

* Collect all the components you should carry to the interview such as your CV and credentials. Discover details about the job and the company.

* Have a shower and be fresh before going to the interview. Do not eat anything that produces bad breathing. Avoid smoking. Any bad breathing or smell can absolutely ruin your picture.

* Decide an appropriate dress for the interview. Do not choose stylish outfits. Professional clothing is the most appropriate.

* Come to the interview early.

* If you have a mobile phone, switch it off before the interview begins.

Etiquettes which should be followed throughout the interview

* Be confident with all the activity you do.

* Concentrate on your gestures.

* Use firm and steady handshakes because poor ones will signify poor character.

* Keep good eye contact with the person who interviews you. Look directly at the individual you talk.

* Do not request any drink or food. Do not ask to go to the bathroom. Such activities can affect negatively to your image. Make sure to fulfill those needs before the interview.

* Show that you are very interested about the job opening and the company.

* Display your attention every time.

* Concentrate on the query they ask. Ask to repeat the query, or ask extra clarification if you did not hear it clearly, or did not comprehend the query they asked. Do not do it always. Because, the interviewer may think that you are not concentrating.

* Always speak after the interviewer. Do not try to speak before he finishes his speech. Do not ask ridiculous questions.

Etiquettes after the interview

* Give sincere thank to everybody on the interview panel at the end of the interview.

* Thank the company for the opportunity given by sending a letter after a few days.
