Writing a Powerful LinkedIn Summary

A LinkedIn membership, free or premium, is a must have for today's job seeker because head hunters are flocking to LinkedIn to recruit candidates for open positions. A significant part of the LinkedIn profile is the summary section. To get the most out of your summary don't reiterate information that is on your resume, but look for a different angle to flesh out the same background in two paragraphs. This part will take time if you aren't a wordsmith so don't be surprised or get discouraged if it takes you a couple of days to come up with compelling verbiage.

Once you have written the introductory paragraphs, choose three successes from the last ten to fifteen years of your career to showcase. Finally to round out the summary, include a closing paragraph. Let's take a look at a sample summary Linkedin you can use as a model.

Florida Hearing Aids Assist Patients To Hear Better

By Amanda Baird

The human ear recognizes energy waves as sound, so that a person can recognize their specific meaning. It is one of the more complicated body parts. It contains three main sections, which are known as the inner, middle, and outer ear. From childhood, individuals should make every effort to protect their ears in order to avoid problems later in life. If such problems do occur, Florida hearing aids can be used to combat the condition.

The loss of hearing is typically categorized in one of three ways, depending on the particular section of the ear where the problem began. These are conductive, central, and sensory types of loss. Most sensory loss starts in the inner ear, while the middle or outer ear is the usual area from which conductive loss stems. Central loss is almost always the result of the inability of the individual's brain to appropriately process audible sounds being transmitted.

If an individual suspects he or she is experiencing this condition, an physician or audiologist should be consulted. The latter can determine the type of problem from which the person is suffering, and rule out any underlying health conditions. If the physician determines that the individual will benefit from one of the aforementioned devices, the patient will have several options from which to choose.

In years gone by, the only units available were analog models, which featured an amplifier, microphone, and speaker. They merely increased the overall volume in the wearer's general facility, but were subsequently difficult to adjust, especially in locations where many different sounds were heard. Models of this kind also frequently made hissing or whistling sounds, which were a source of irritation to the user.

Even though the aforementioned units are still manufactured, digital models are considered far superior by the majority of ear doctors and audiologists. Digital units have computer chips that pre-analyze different sounds, and then digitize them for the purpose of blocking large portions of various background sounds. When the unit detects speech, the consonants and vowels are automatically adjusted to the most suitable volume, and thus the wearer is better able to hear every word being spoken.

There is no perfect model that will work effectively for all individuals. For this reason, a certain amount of trial and error may be required prior to one's finding the most suitable model. Consumers should not become discouraged throughout the selection process, as essentially anyone's needs can be met when the appropriate model is eventually found.

Putting off having a hearing evaluation is never wise. This is due to the fact that the issue will only serve to frustrate the person further if he or she does not seek help in a timely manner. Those who think they may have suffered hearing loss should make an appointment with an experienced professional.

Most ear doctors will not hesitate to make recommendations based on a client's individual circumstances. They sometimes complete additional tests, as previously mentioned, to rule out other medical disorders. In numerous cases, one's insurance policy may cover part or all of the price of Florida hearing aids. This is why procrastinating is unwise, and one should seek evaluation in a timely manner if he or she suspects hearing loss.
